Internship Opportunities

An intern at Junior Achievement of Central Illinois will walk away with a working knowledge of a non-profit program and its relationship with the community, as well as its day to day operations.  We take a team approach in our office, and interns have the opportunity to attend board meetings, learn about various job functions related to running a non-profit organization, and develop skill sets that will be beneficial for future employers.

 

Event/Development Intern
Serves as an assistant to the Events/Office Manager to help build community awareness of Junior Achievement in the areas we serve. Assist with special events and fundraising efforts including JA Titan Business Strategy Competition, Hall of Fame, ePrix, Grand Prix, Online Holiday Auction, Classroom Calling Campaign, and others. Assist with written communication pieces as assigned. May also assist in the design of event logos, brochures, ads, website and social media.

Program Management Intern
The Program Management Intern position is designed to support the Program Director and Program Assistant in program execution, including volunteer and school marketing, correspondence, monitoring, evaluation and recording and reporting data. Tasks may include communicating with volunteers and teachers; assisting with implementation of teacher and volunteer recognition; assisting with pre- and post-test data; assisting with registration and reporting processes and procedures; assist with event, fundraising and marketing initiatives as needed. This position is flexible and we ask for a minimum 3-month commitment.
